SRI's 6kg fire extinguisher provides fire protection in both home and commercial settings. Designed to extinguish Type A, B and C fires, our extinguisher is also Bomba and SIRIM approved.
Lighter than our 9kg model but just as effective, this could be more appropriate for younger members of the family. We recommend that you place one in your bedroom in an easily accessible place to enable you to clear a safe path out of your home in the event of a fire at night.

What is the best place to put my fire extinguisher in my home?
We would recommend a small 1kg or 2kg extinguisher in your kitchen, and either a 6kg or 9kg one in each occupied bedroom. All fire extinguishers should be placed in areas that are easily accessible in the event of an emergency and NOT near any heat or electrical sources.A fire extinguisher will help with clearing a path out of the house in the event of a fire at night. Bear in mind that if a large fire occurs, your main goal is to exit the house safely, NOT to extinguish the fire.

No. They must be serviced or refilled.

If your fire extinguisher is for personal use, there is no need to service it! Just ensure that the needle of the pressure gauge points to the green zone and you are good to go. Make sure you change your home fire extinguisher once every 10 years.
